Drop Bolts

All swing gates are hydraulically locking, however for higher security we recommend installing spring drop bolt and maglock onto the gate to reinforce the locking – therefore making the gate more secure when closed. Shown left is the drop bolt we use on our swing gate installations:

Mag Locks

Maglocks are installed with armature plates and the two are held together magnetically when power is applied. The armature plate is allowed to float on its mounting plate in order that it squares up face to face with the magnet when fitted to uneven surfaces. On single gates the magnet can be fitted to the slam post and the armature to the gate, alleviating the need to run a cable across the moving gate.

Lux Rams

The equipment we use for the electric swing gates is the LUX range of hydraulic rams, these are high duty, high quality rams specified for a long life in domestic, multi-user (apartments) and commercial situations. We find that these are suitable for use on all types of swing gates. Metal, timber, close boarded (wind affected), busy domestic, high end installs and commercial/industrial applications.

These are also available in kit form, which we tend to use on completely new installs and for motorising existing manual gates.

LUX 2B KIT
Self locking high duty operators for gates of 2000mm per leaf.

LUX 2B FC KIT
As above, but for when a closed gate stop is not possible.

LUX GV KIT
Non locking high duty operator for gates of 3500mm per leaf.

LUX GV KIT B
As above, but for a single swing gate of 3500mm.
N.B. LUX GV KIT requires addition of a suitable electronic lock for application.

Underground Operators

If you wish for your gate to open outwards, we suggest that underground operators are more suitable to use, an additional bonus with this is that they can function both inward and outward movements. We tend to use the Sub range of underground operators which are hydraulic underground operators designed for different gate sizes and opening angles. They are suitable for domestic, multi user (apartments) and commercial use. They can be used on metal gates, timber gates, small and medium close boarded (wind affected) gates, busy entrances and prestigious locations. These also come in kit form, which we would use for motorizing existing manual gates and for new gate installations.

Non locking SUB motors (E, ER, GE) require an electronic lock to be added to the system. All SUB motors operate through 130 degrees apart from SUB G which operates through 180 degrees.

Easy to fit because: All SUB Motors are supplied with a heavy, load bearing steel foundation box (CPS). Gates can be pre-hung on these boxes and the motors retro-fitted (Also useful for servicing).

The foundation box is load bearing, will support an 800kg load and is used as the lower hinge.
